Luke Angus is an award-winning, Oscar and BAFTA qualifying filmmaker and seasoned 3D animator known for emotionally resonant storytelling and visually striking work in animation. Originally from Scotland’s west coast, Luke began his career in New York City, where he collaborated with leading studios including Nickelodeon and Framestore. His work spans both commercial and independent projects, with a strong focus on narrative-driven short films.

In 2021, Luke received the Best Animated Short Film award at the Short Film Awards for his acclaimed sci-fi short Alienated. His most recent film, Solstice, a poignant meditation on grief and isolation set in the Arctic Circle, won Best Animated Film at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Tokyo, and as a result is now officially eligible for both the 2026 BAFTAs and the 2026 Oscars.
